Bruno's guests ranged from Cleo Laine, Dizzy Gillespie, Julia Child, and Patrick MacNee at one end of the fame spectrum, to minor celebrities that only a Canadian would know: game show host Mike Darrow, voice-of-Spiderman actor Paul Soles, singer Juliette (just the one name), actress Jayne Eastwood (Goin' Down The Road). Then there are the guests that fly beneath the radar (mine at least); can anyone enlighten me as to the claims to fame of Kelly Jay, Sylvia McGuire, Edith Redman, Al Molinaro, Hans Jewinski, Malachi Throne, George Kirby, Paul Berval, Maryon Kantaroff, Susan Keller, George R. Robertson, Johnny Yesno, Johnny Dark, Clifton Davis, Marcia Lewis, Vito Scotti, Lonnie Shorr, Skiles and Henderson, or Fred Travalena?

Into a large pot on the stove, empty the first can of beans, cover with layer of salami, then a layer of cheese slices, and repeat. Top with layer of Champagne cheese and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, till cheese has melted. Then mix everything in the pot well, and while simmering, add the bourbon to taste. Before serving, in bowls or on plates, add the brandy to taste. Serves 4.
Barbecued Kreskin* (Kreskin)
Wrap 2 slices bacon around the sides of each steak and fasten with a toothpick. Melt butter in frypan over barbecue. Add the chopped onion, green pepper, sauce, salt, lots of black pepper, and the basil & parsley. Saute until onions are cooked. Meanwhile, grill steaks over low heat. Allow 8 minutes on one side and 5 minutes on the other. Pour the onion and pepper sauce over the steaks and serve at once. Note: Kreskin roasts baked potatoes in foil and corn on the cob in foil on his barbecue to serve with this recipe. * That's what it says, "Barbecued Kreskin." I think it's a typo, because in the table of contents it's listed as "Barbecued Steaks."
