On the surface, this 1964 pamphlet is a guide to nutrition and healthy living for teenagers, with information on Canada's food guide and whatnot, but dig a little deeper and it's clearly propaganda from the Carnation Company designed to encourage impressionable youth to add Carnation evaporated milk to every conceivable food from meatballs to something aptly called "Toss Up" Salad Dressing.

"Your Home and You is a basal text for students of home and family living" says the preface of this 1966 book. What the heck is "basal"? Maybe they meant "banal."
